Our Apartment

I know that many of you have probably wondered what our apartment looks like and how different it is from an apartment in the states.  Recently we had some rooms painted so I decided it would be a good time to take some pictures and share them with all of you.  (as a disclaimer, our apartment is not decorated for Christmas all year round)

Here is a view of apartment from the street and the view we have from our balcony overlooking the lake across the street.  We live on the 9th floor, and yes, our apartment does have an elevator that works most of the time.  We love our lake view, and I enjoy being 9 floors above most of the critters that can be found on the first floor.

Our living room is where we spend most of our time.  It also doubles as a play room and dining room.

Our kitchen is small and narrow, but we have found a way to make it work for us.  We also have this middle room that we never know what to call.  It works mostly as storage and is where we keep our ant cabinets.  If you don't know what these are, they are food storage cabinets that have cups of either baby powder or water that the legs sit in so that ants are unable to get into the cabinet and eat all of your food.
